Red Eyes Infection Treatment

Cortisporin is produced by GSK, which contains polymyxin + bacitracin + neomycin + hydrocortisone + petrolatum base. It is being used for the symptomatic condition of inflammatory eye and its adnexa and where bacterial infection or a risk of bacterial ocular infection exists. It is being used for red eyes infection treatment.

Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to any constituent. Herpes simplex keratitis, and other viral, fungal or mycobacterial diseases or cornea and conguctive. After uncomplicated removal of corneal foreign body. Its use is not recommended in neonates.

Precautions & Warnings: Prolonged use may result in overgrowth of non-susceptible organism. Caution required in infants and where access to intraocular fluids could occur.

Adverse Effects: Localized hypersensitivity reactions including itching and conjunctival erythema. Increased intra-ocular pressure, cataract and secondary infection may occur.
